Vulcan kimdir?


Ateşin ve yanardağların tanrısıdır, sanatın, silahların, demirin ve tanrılarla kahramanların zırhlarının üreticisidir. Yunan mitolojisinde Vulcan'ın karşılığı olan tanrı Hephaestus'dur. Ayrıca Roma mitolojisinde Mulciber ("yumuşatıcı") olarak ve Etrüsk mitolojisinde ise Sethlans olarak bilinir.

His Roman equivalent was VULCAN, whose smithy lay beneath the crater of Mount Aetna in Sicily. Hephaestus was lame as a result of having interfered in the quarrel between his parents.

How did Hephaestus become a blacksmith?


The son of Hera, and born lame, Hephaestus was raised not in the halls of the immortals, but on an Aegean island by his foster mothers Thetis and Eurynome (yes, Hephaestus had two mommies). Discovering fire, he soon became a master blacksmith and dazzled the mortal world with his work.

How did Hephaestus get his lameness?


Hephaestus' famous lameness is either the result of Hera, via Hesiod, noticing he had a malformed foot and threw (not banished, THREW) him from Olympus in disdain, or because Zeus, via Homer, backhanded him off the sacred mountain for trying to protect Hera from Zeus in a fight.
